In Exodus 13-14 we will see the actual Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt begin. We will see the deliverance by power in these chapters. Chapter 12 we saw the deliverance by blood.

These chapters show us the power and presence of God in our lives. Where have you seen God moving in your life? In the Past and Currently? Do you trust God like Moses did? Where do you need to learn to trust the Lord more in your life?
Today, after your time of silence, open up the Psalms and begin to pray Psalm 1 over your life. Personalize it, and apply that to your life, however that may look. You can pray the words exactly as they are or use them as a springboard to start a prayer. You can write the prayer as a journal project or you can just sit and pray. This exercise has really been a blessing to me as I have learned to pray. Everyday I pray one Psalm over myself, my family, our country, etc…wherever the Lord leads from that Psalm.

As I read this text I am reminded that my trust in the Lord is not nearly as strong as Moses. He led an entire nation into the sea – when God told him to lift up his staff and the seas would part – he didn’t question God – he did the thing. I want to have that faith. I want to trust God when He is leading and not question how this will work or will it work….I want to be able to just do it.
